Site Manager

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Implementation of on-site system deployments
    o Supervise regional execution of large scale deployments to include customer training, system setup, and ongoing support
    o Ensure smooth project handoff from development to sustaining mode
    o Monitor NI fulfillment of contract obligations and intervene as needed to assure success. Escalate issues appropriately.  
  • Customer Management
    o Work directly with customer to understand service needs, define processes, and manage delivery of services
    o Main point of contact for escalation and resolution management
    o Interface with both customer and contract manufacturer to ensure project and process adherence
  • Project/Program Management
    o Define schedule, resource needs, and scope management
    o Identify and perform risk assessment
    o Communicate with global project teams


Position Requirements

  • Work Experience
    o 5+ years experience in directly related field managing complex projects and/or operations in high tech industry
    o Demonstrated success in managing complex global projects; high attention to detail
    o 70%+ travel required 
  • Education
    o BS in Engineering or Business Management; or equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge, Expertise, and Skills
    o Required
     - Understanding of field service
     - General understanding of technical practices in Test and Measurement instrumentation application
     - Demonstrated success leading and participating in cross-functional teams
     - Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in various circumstances; in both English and Mandarin
     - Personal fit with culture of NI and the Hardware Services Team
    o Preferred
     - Demonstrated success in managing small teams
     - Experience in project management
     - Experience with contract manufacturers
